Starting from the background of the Foundation, which over 35 years collects data on diving and diving accidents, DAN R&I is able to provide a complete service from the creation of a data acquisition platform to their use for scientific and commercial purposes, passing through their real time analysis.
The Y-40 Medical Clinic project aims to set up a multidisciplinary medical / diagnostic clinic that can offer, through doctors and experts of various kinds but also experts in diving medicine, visits and specialist medical consultations within of the Y-40 The Deep Joy pool.
The aim of the project is to offer a specialized outpatient service with various professional figures able to give detailed answers to subjects who have had any type of accident in the practice of diving, or suffering from other pathologies and who wish to investigate compatibility with diving. At the same time, however, for the involvement of DAN Europe and for the attention that Y-40 has always placed on research, the clinic wants to be the excuse for a unique collection of medical data of underwater subjects and for development ( during visits) of scientific protocols developed ad hoc.
In summary, the Y-40 medical clinic has the following purpose:
Perform medical examinations of fitness for diving activities
Consultancy for compatibility of previous pathologies with diving
Intercepting pathologies not compatible with underwater activities
Evaluate the presence of PFO
Collect data for scientific purposes
Perform scientific protocols dedicated to deepening the knowledge on pathologies and immersion
Perform post dive scientific tests and protocols
A UNIQUE POSSIBILITY: The UNIQUE characteristics of this clinic offer the possibility of setting up tests directly in the dive or immediately after a dive, providing information, for example, on the tendency to develop inert bubbles or by studying the pulmonary effort after diving. This data can be really useful for the personalized management of diving and will offer unique information for scientific purposes.
For each specialist branch included in the project, specific scientific projects will also be planned with dedicated questionnaires and / or analyzes that will be carried out, after the patient’s consent, during the visit itself.
DAN Europe R&I will be responsible for the coordination of all research protocols, the realization of all the supports necessary for data collection, their analysis of their use for scientific purposes thus creating a continuous flow of scientific data.
The OSAS-head surgery institute (HSI) Medical Clinic project aims to set up a medical / diagnostic clinic at the Head Surgery institute structure that offers a multisciplinary visit able to face the investigations necessary to intercept cases of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The initial purpose of the project is to offer a specialized outpatient service with various professional figures able to give detailed answers to subjects who are potentially affected by this pathology but as in any project in which DAN Europe is involved, particular attention is given to the collection. of information for scientific purposes.
In fact, the doctors of the structure, in addition to taking care of the collection of medical data of OSAS patients (already extremely interesting), will follow additional scientific protocols that will guarantee a collection of unique data of its kind useful for deepening the knowledge of this frequent pathology.
HSI is also the first facility that uses wearable tools to intercept people potentially affected by the disease.
In summary, the HSI medical Institute outpatient clinic has as its purpose:
Perform medical examinations for the diagnosis of OSAS
Identify the best personalized treatment plan
Collect data for scientific purposes
Carry out scientific protocols studied ad hoc
Apply the use of Wearable tools for scientific purposes for the screening of positive subjects
Direct screening positive patients to investigate the case, especially the creation of a polysomnography (gold standard for this type of pathology)
The availability of the doctors of this clinic offers the possibility to deepen the knowledge on this pathology, all the acquired data will be used for scientific purposes.
DAN Europe R&I will be responsible for the coordination of all research protocols, the realization of all the supports necessary for data collection, their analysis of their use for scientific purposes thus creating a continuous flow of scientific data.
